Summer Bjarnarson

Summer Bjarnarson, a Second Grade teacher at VCS since 2018, wants her students to see their lives as a gift from God, to know that God created them perfectly with a purpose. Mrs. Bjarnarson says, “As humans we focus on our weakness. I want my students to identify their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. As a child in school I struggled with math. As a teacher I am passionate about creating an environment where learning about math (or any subject) is not stressful. In teaching math, I incorporate games and hands-on learning tools. I also teach math in small groups so that I can better reach the needs of the students.”
