Courtney Harvancik

Courtney Harvancik, VCS Middle School teacher since 2021, is passionate about uncovering students' gifts so that they are seen by others and themselves and building a community of learning in the classroom through intentional connections and a willingness to take healthy risks. Miss Harvancik wants students to be okay with failures--to adjust and grow from them--and to “view themselves as a gift, while also recognizing the gift in others.” She challenges students to avoid adding gossip, negativity, or chaos to classroom situations, and instead to add life and encouragement from the One who provides abundant life.
