A RICH HISTORY

Valley Christian School exists today because in 1974, a group of visionaries united to pursue a uniquely American idea. That diverse band of parents, teachers, and civic-minded friends created an exceptional school for children (Oshkosh Christian School) – a place where academic excellence and timeless spiritual truths would combine to ignite the minds and hearts of students each day…and for life.

That idea; quality, independent Christian education, grew from a few dozen students in rented classrooms to a beautiful campus completed in 1994, serving students from preschool through high school. Since its incorporation, the school has operated independently and is currently the only preschool through high school interdenominational Christian school in the greater Fox Valley.

At one time in our history, our high school combined with a few other area Christian high schools under the name of Valley Christian High School. For several years our school operated under the dual name of Oshkosh Christian School/Valley Christian School. In an effort to outwardly display the inward unity present in our school, in 2013 we consolidated names and are now known by one name, Valley Christian School.

Recent years have shown tremendous growth in our school. So much so, in 2022 a second campus (4K-8) was opened in Neenah, WI. We are humbled by God's goodness, aware of this great responsibility, and excited by the opportunity to offer an excellent Christ-centered education to more of our community.

OUR MISSION

All Valley Christian School students will discover their God-given design, be equipped to reach their full potential, and boldly impact their world for Christ.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

  • THE BIBLE
We Believe the Bible is the Word of God, inspired, inerrant, infallible, and the sole authority for faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21).
  • TRINITY
We Believe God as triune, His personality and external existence expressed in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30).
  • DEITY OF JESUS
We Believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:33), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14;Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9), His resurrection (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19) and His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11).
  • REGENERATION
We Believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace through faith alone we are saved (John 3:16-19; 5:24; Romans 3:23; 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus3:5).
  • HOLY SPIRIT
We Believe the present ministry of the Holy Spirit is to indwell and fill the believer for witnessing, learning, and living a Godly life (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19-20;Ephesians 4:30; 5:18).
  • UNITY
We Believe In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; 1Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28).
  • RESURRECTION
We Believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29)..
