Donors and volunteers who share of their time, treasure and talents make all the difference for advancing our school’s mission and vision. There are a variety of giving opportunities, listed below, that you can take to support our school.
As an interdenominational school we are not funded by a single denomination or church. Our student body represents about 40 different area churches. We also do not receive government subsidy. We rely on the charitable generosity of individuals, businesses, foundations and friends who value the betterment of children and the benefits of a quality Christian education.

This vital program was established to advance and to strengthen VCS through funding for operations and special program support. This is our primary vehicle for bridging the gap between the cost of educating students and tuition received. Please read our 2014-15 letter here.
Contributions to the Appeal, as well as programs described below, may be mailed or delivered to the school address listed below anytime during the calendar year. Please indicate on the check to which program you would like your gift applied. Thank you.
School families and friends can support VCS by purchasing gift cards for hundreds of area and national retailers through the Scrip Program. A percentage of the purchase amount is donated back to the school, and can be split with families as a credit toward tuition. See a list of participating retailers here. Learn more by visiting www.ShopwithScrip.com - our school’s enrollment code is FA8L295346L3.
Did you know that your employer may match your donations or even your volunteer hours with monetary gifts? Many corporations have these types of programs as a way to encourage service by their employees and to give back to the local community. Ask your employer, you could double your gift!
Your gift to the endowment fund is a gift that continues to give to the school through earned interest. As this fund grows, it can support the school’s operations for a lifetime. This fund is held and administered by the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation (OACF). Gifts may be made to VCS earmarked for the endowment fund or the same can be made directly to OACF.
Gifts of appreciated assets such as stock or mutual fund shares, vehicles and real estate are encouraged. These gifts may provide significant tax benefits to the donor as recommended by your professional financial advisor.

This fund provides the opportunity for you to make a quality Christian education a reality for worthy students right here in our community.
Every year many families qualify for tuition assistance. Without help, they simply could not afford a Christian education. We rely on the generous support of individuals and organizations to benefit the education of a child today. Any amount is helpful in the life of a child.
There are many opportunities for parents, students, alumni, and friends to volunteer their time at VCS. We highly value our volunteers! We recognize that without the sharing of their time and talents we could not continue to operate a quality program. A list of suggested volunteer opportunities may be obtained upon request. Volunteer applicants will be asked to fill out a background check form.
All of our families participate in the Parent Service Hours program, which is overseen by our Parent Service Organization (PSO), which requires each family to make an annual commitment of a minimum of either twenty hours of service to the school OR a $200 buy-out OR a combination of both.
Every year the school is blessed with gifts of items useful to the school. These are either utilized in the everyday operations of the school, in the classrooms, or in the facility. Gifts of items are also received for use during annual fundraising events such as the “The Big Event” (Valley Christian Benefit Auction). After receipt of the items you will receive a heartfelt thank you and a written acknowledgment of your gift for tax purposes.
You can save items such as Kwik Trip milk caps, Campbell soup labels, General Mills “BoxTops for Education,” empty print cartridges and old cell phones. Please turn them in to the VCS elementary office any time. These unusable items will become usable cash for our school!
When using your Target Credit card and Pick-n-Save Rewards card, indicate our school as your charity of choice and our school receives a percentage of your purchases.
“The Big Event” is held every March. This event is our largest fundraiser and is attended by many members of the community. We invite you to join us for an enjoyable evening of delicious food, student performed entertainment, and the opportunity to bid on items knowing that VCS is a direct beneficiary of your generous participation.
Every fall, our elementary and middle school students obtain pledges from friends and family for this fun event. Students are sponsored either per lap or for a flat sum and our students run with all of their heart, on an age-appropriate track. It’s a great day for everyone. If you would like to volunteer on race day, or help coordinate mailers in the office or sponsor a student, please contact Carey Holtz at x. 20.
Every July, our school is turned into a lodge as we house guests from all over the world attending the EAA AirVenture convention in Oshkosh. This is the school’s second largest fundraiser. If you would like to volunteer time or resources to this event, please contact Carey Holtz at x20
